6 Days 5 Nights Explore Loita Hills Loita hills borders the Great Rift Valley and its inhabitants are the Maasai, the area wild scenery and variety of habitats offer true African experience to the visitor. As well as Elephants and buffalo for which Loiter hills is famous,well one may also encounter less well known species such as Columbus monkeys, impalas, and rarely seen Dik dik. These wild animals are not accustomed to vehicles and walking offers a unique opportunity to see the smaller but equally fascinating life of the bush. During the walk in these areas, one will see plenty of bird life and concentration of game. Itinerary Day 1: Nairobi /Loita Departing Nairobi at around 0630hrs you drive to the edge of the Great Rift where you stop briefly to view this magnificent view before descending down the to the floor. You continue past Narok town and into the heart of the Loita Hills where you will see hot spring “Maji Moto”. Meet our Maasai guides who will accompany us for the next 4 ½ Days walk. Meal plan is (L/D) overnight at the camp. Day 2: Loita Hills Trek – Letukunyi / Olerien: Our 0645 hrs wakeup call is followed by a cup of tea/coffee followed by full breakfast. Guided by Maasai warriors, hope to experience the thrill of meeting wildlife face to face within their own environment habitat.You will also have a chance to experience the Maasai way of life in the African wilderness. Have picnic lunches as you proceed to the next camp followed by a siesta/read before setting off for our walk. Return to the camp just before dark. The evening is spent over dinner cooked by our expert safari cook under the stars around the campfire. (Fly Camp) (B,L,D) Day 3: Letukunyi Camp – Olepesiet / kanunga camp Continue walking through this unpolluted and natural mountain rain forest sacred to the Loita Maasai people. As you walk along with the warriors, they share their rich history and cultural back grounds . (BLD) Remember to have a sense of humor to enjoy this kind of narratives which are very rich and and interesting. we are very much proud to have the Maasai people with us here in Kenya. Lunch enroute Day 4: Olepisiet camp – Enkutoto camp/ Enchoroi After breakfast we walk through entasopia river where you will get the good breeze to Enchoroi camp for dinner and overnight stay. (B, L, D) Day 5: Enchoroi camp – Ngurman or Kalema village After breakfast and if weather permits we shall view Lake Magadi and Lake Natron North west and North east respectively and count yourself lucky having seen the two salt lakes we have in East Africa among others. Lunch enroute to Kalema village. Accommodation for this day will be in the budget hotel where you will have dinner and overnight stay. Day 6: Kalema village Nairobi. Early breakfast followed by departure to Nairobi pass through the salt lake (Magadi) arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon with sweet memories
